Last week the password was found for the backdoor in Junipers ScreenOS-software; which was found by Juniper last week.
What does this mean?
With this password it is possible to avoid the telnet and SSH authentication process on vulnerable NetScreen-equipment. In some cases it is even possible to intercept and decrypt VPN connections. Juniper has released a patch to solve this security leak.
What can you do?
We recommend updating your equipment as soon as possible. If you need any assistance with updating your NetScreen equipment or if you are in need of further information on how this might have affected your digital infrastructure? Feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
